I'm offically, even though I am not offically, a Fallick.

Here is why, right now I am making dough dabs for the first time with home made beef stew, sadly to say, also for the first time. I haven't tasted either yet, they are still cooking, although the stew looks like the brooth should be thicker and there should be more of it, but we will see. I will let you all know how they turn out. And I do ahve a ton, so if you aren't scared of my sick kids, you should come over and have some. :-)

  1. Sounds great. I'd come over but I'm baby-sitting for Tali and she is so glad no one is sick at her house, I wouldn't dare bring them over. So sorry your kids are sick. I hope they are well soon and that you don't get it too.Barbara

  3. Not sure what you would call it, but it is not something from the "Fallick" line.. rather from Kaiser through Walls... Dough Dabs came from your Great Grandma Katerina Kaiser Walls.

  4. yeah, but what I meant mom is I am now a Fallick sister. I gues it doesn't make sense much to say that, but well, what I mean is it is one of those things that connect us, that and fudge, if you can't make it, well, it is a problem. They are both something I will pass on to my kids. (By the way, speaking of kids, Daniel wants to know why you live far away. he was playing with something you sent him and I told hi it wasf rom his grandma Jj, so he repeats your name. I tell him ab out when you came down, not too sure if he remembers you, I show him a picture and he says, I don't see her everyday. No you don't, but why, well she lives far away, but why, so I told him I would ask, why you live far away that is. :-) you have to love his, but why, after everything.

  6. I've never made dough dabs before - but I love making beef stew. Except I always worry that there isn't enough, and then I add extra water, so it's more like beef soup. I wonder what "stoutner" things I have. Not liking olives? Wait, I think some of us like olives. Mmmmm....

  7. Funny Halley, becaue I made dough dabs for possibly the first time the other day too. I may have made them once in the past. I don't do it more often because 1) we try to eat as healthy as possible, and well, let's face it, they are deep-fat-fried. and 2) I never know what to do with all the oil afterwards. How to dispose of it. It is now still sitting on my stove in a used can. And I made fudge night before last. I finally got it right. Acutally it's a tad soft, but I intended it to be hot fudge to put on top of ice cream, and it was a tad hard for that.

  8. well then what am I? i don't cook period. I guess I really am a fallick. cause the cooking was not one of Bea or Josh's assets. That would definitely be a Wall thing.or i guess Hatcher thing since it came from moms side and that was her maiden name. But yeah mom, we use that to describe our "sisterhood",as aposed to being stoutners or stallicks. because that is the name we all have in common. hope that makes sence and does not affend.

  9. what makes a falllick....pickles? hahaha. bad spelling? no, Amy can spell. lots of hair? we all like home made stuff better too. John is kind of ho-hum about home made bread. I cant get it. Home made bread is the best thing in the universe, except maybe perfect fudge.
